Season Potluck is Here! {& a Linky Tool Giveaway}

Betsy & Kelly are the girls behind Seasonal Potluck! You can read all about them by clicking here! Season Potluck chooses a different fruit or vegetable each month to be their featured ingredient. A page is created on their blog where YOU can link up a recipe that you posted that incorporates that month’s featured ingredient.

My partner in crime, Kelley and I both love to cook healthy meals from scratch and were interested in learning more about seasonal ingredients. We decided to start seasonalpotluck.com as a forum where those who share our interest, can link up and find inspiration. There’s nothing better than a first hand recipe recommendation! Besides finding new, delicious recipes, I’ve also been exposed to new ingredients and techniques I’ve never tried before, and have met some great new blog friends.

Our Linky Party changes monthly but each party is open all month long and you can link up Seasonal Recipes using the Featured Ingredient.

What do you enjoy about hosting your Linky Party?
I would always rather read someone’s first hand recipe, see their photos, and read their personal stories, than find a random recipe in
a cookbook or magazine. I also have loved being forced to try something new. Kelley and I live in different regions and have different tastes, so we’re each forced to compromise occasionally on which ingredients we decide to feature each month. Its been a really fun learning experience.

What are some tips you have for new bloggers?
Be yourself! Don’t focus on what other people are doing or what your stats are. Just be authentic, be genuine, and write about what YOU want to write about. Don’t think that you have to change the world with every single thing you write. We all have “dumb post” days or days where inspiration is lacking. I say if you think its dumb, post it anyway. Practice makes perfect, and the more you get in the habit of writing, the better you’ll get. There are people out there who share your views. Seek them out and genuinely reach out to them.

Where do YOU link up each week?
We both do Secret Recipe Club through our individual blogs each month.
www.betsylife.com and www.theculinaryenthusiast.com

I (Betsy) have also linked up at littlegraypixel.blogspot.com
